From the National Institutes of Health, "Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. It is the most common cause of dementia in older adults. Alzheimer's disease is currently ranked as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but recent estimates indicate that the disorder may rank third, just behind heart disease and cancer, as a cause of death for older people."
Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common type of Dementia. Typical symptoms are a decline in; communicating, out ward expression, thinking, reasoning, confusion, multitasking, problem solving, and social abilities impairing daily activities. It can also impair ambulation with poor balance, gait disturbance, coordination, and weakness. These changes will cause anxiety, agitation, and behavior.
Neurologist’s have found Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treats all areas of the brain and treats these areas affecting memory loss. With HBOT, people are experiencing improvement in memory, concentration, and regaining normal daily activities. HBOT makes new cells, regenerates and improvement of brain metabolism. Recovery from Dementia/Alzheimer’s has never happened before.
